It makes sense that scientific names are a first step of unification.
A common red starfish is Asteria rubens whatever (s)he is male or female, alone or in congregation, in Japanese, Russian or Kansas papers. Objectively, you and me, naturalists and scientists speak a few words of a unified language. Not so bad… a quite good beginning.
