35 Million Died in the Bird Flue Pandemic of 1918

(62.188.48.74)So there you go, its not the first time Bird Flue has been around. Although the virus strain was totally different than todays.
Although there is no proof that todays strain can be passed from birds/chickens to humans. One wonders why they are working hard to develop an avian immune serum for us.
