On a more serious note, I did some time as QC in a meat packaging plat. It was a real eye-opener. As for inspectors, I can honestly say, some were good, serious, and devoted to protecting the public. Some were just walking around in a white coat all day acting important and drawing a paycheck; if they didn't like someone they'd harass them til they quit. It was a form of recreation for them, I think. Some would pass anything as long as it wasn't oozing green slime and crawling with flies.
I hope I'll be forgiven when I say I decided I didn't need a job that badly.
