I thank you for your reply. In my own personal sphere I pretty consistently use the term "mysticism", for "religion, singular, lower case", but that is my personal preference and I did not want to muddy the waters any further than absolutely necessary. It would have been distracting to other, IMHO, to have had them applying their own interpretations of mysticism on top of what I was trying to convey.
