Yeah, NASA actually 'did' check out the superconducting disk anti-gravity thing, and they found that it didn't work under any circumstances whatsoever.
There was only a slim chance anyway that the effect wasn't experimental error, or outright fraud, but hey.. nasa's got the time and a little money.. and what if it had turned out to be real.
Anyhow, guess we won't be going to the moon in a spacecraft powered by anti-gravity any time soon.
