you guys seem to have neglected the long term effects of a slight push on a mass that is traveling in a orbit.

if its mass is 1000 kg
and it is momentarily pushed by a force of .0000001 N
after 16 years goes by it might be in another galaxy as far as we are concerned here on earth.
