then the moon has no core that supports a magnetic field and this strenghthens the theory of the moon from earth as the earth could not have a magnetic field without a material that supports a magnetic field at its core.
still this alone could not be the reason for the moon facing us constantly milenium after milenium
it must be a off balance density thing.
I cant think of another reason that could give the moon that much energy each second it couldnt be the oceans.
it is the resistance of the moon to rotate away from the least path of resistance as all things take the least path of resistance in physics.
