You could easly convince people into thinking every storm, flood, drough, is because we are behaving badly. People are already predisposed to thinking this way, as evidenced by history, and when they suffer a great tragedy they always want to find a culpit, never accepting nature just being nature. You will have a willing, but ignorant, audience. Exactly what I know you don't want. If the sea rises a few feet, let's move people to higher ground, and exploit the sea more. It's done every time a dam is built.
