All that is relevant is that he proposed something that has been conclusively proven to be (not the perfect explanation for all of eternity) but rather the best explanation at this point-in-time.

the darwinian philosophy has very far from been 'conclusively proven" ...but you are welcome to thus opine, o friend of great faith
it is not even a valid theory...it is at best an hypothesis in virtually continual revision :-)
