Umm, Daniel, water at 100C at STP doesn't necessarily boil, any more than it'd freeze at 0C at STP. Clean distilled water in a clean container won't do either without something to "clump" around, for freezing, or enough of a disturbance to break surface tension, in the case of microwaving to "boiling" temperatures. Look at the warnings in the manuals on microwave ovens--that's one reason I put the Darjeeling bag in the cup before kickin' in the switch.
