So, if we take the Equatorial Radius to be 6378140 metres, and stand in a part of the Dead Sea which is subsiding at 6 centimetres per year...

we should be able to complete a journey to the centre of the Earth by 106300084 AD.

...without the use of tunnels inside Icelandic volcanoes 8^)
