Re: Universe is only seven days old (DA Morgan)

“The CMB can not move as it is not an object.”

So you are saying that photons are not objects?

“Our so-called movement is a calculation, somewhat artificial in nature, based on red shifting of photons.”

And that “artificial” calculation is the basis for much of our knowledge of the universe. If we dismiss that calculation we no longer can determine the size or age of the universe. Without a Hubble constant we are back to the state of seeing a bunch of lights permanently fixed on the globe of the sky.

“Space has no preferential velocity, in fact it has no measurable velocity at all. The question is nonsensical.
All there is is the universe ... period. No inside, no outside, no center, no edge, no movement, no velocity. “

Interesting argument. You are right and I am wrong because you are right.

“Things within the universe move relative to each other ... not relative to the universe. Which is the entire point of the phrase ... "reference frame."”

Same argument. You claim the universe doesn’t have any existence other than your definition so therefore you are right.

I will certainly grant that your understanding was state of the art 20 years ago. But we have learned a lot since then.

“And please don't "play along."”

The reason I have to play along is because you seem incapable of saying anything other than that you are right and everyone else is wrong. You play your games and I’ll play along with you at times.

“You can attempt to ridicule the theory because likely you don't understand them and neither does much of your assumed audience.”

I am not ridiculing any theory. Just trying to point out to you that you are ignorant of current theory. Want to discuss the theory that everything is composed of earth, air, fire, and water?
