the same dna region can have different sugars attached to it.

a dna region is translated depending on which sugars are attached to it.

i follow that.


it was my understanding that when one particular sugar is attached to a protein, the complete molecule (of sugar) is made up of a number of different kinds of sugars; glucose, galactose, mannose, etc.
