I've read through a lot of this, but don't know enough to follow it. Is there an explanation a scientific layman could follow.
Your last sentence
"The proper test of spacetime geometry is test mass geometry, not composition".
I'd have thought the composition of an object had already been ruled out as having any affect.
Spacetime geometry is a result of mass I assume.
So mass geometry is all that's left.
But obviously its more complicated than that, and I've probably missed the whole point. So if you have some spare time, and if its possible, and you feel inclined, could you enlighted an interested but simple soul.
