If we assume that the train is definitely 9 miles long (475 cars) and if we assume only one 100 ft car "dangling" and 474 on the level, then the train will not move (100,000 lbs force opposed by 142,200 lbs kinetic friction which would be even less than the static friction - - assuming starting from rest).
If we assume 10 cars dangling than it will move and accelerate. Don't know the lb -> N conversion, so I can't tell you how fast. :0(
