The increasing density of aircraft and associated contrails, increasing the cloud cover, is something we have all suspected. Nice article.

The thinning Artic ice pack is making life for the Polar Bear more difficult.
Polar Bear numbers have been declining, it is estimated that 22,000 exist today. 60% live off Northern Canada and the rest off Iceland. Pack ice is important for the species since they live breed and hunt from the ice. At the present time there are 60 days in the year when the pack ice is too thin, or non existent for the Bear to hunt from. By 2050 it is estimated that their non hunt days will increase to 150 days per year.
By 2080 all the pack ice will have gone, and so will most of the Polar bears according to a Norwegian report.
