It has been far to many years for me to help you on that one ... but throw Quaternion Math into the mixture as it is both fascinating and related, at some basic level, with physical reality.
Also take a look at the origins of Pi. Pi is not a number ... it is a harmonic series. And, of course, the relationship between e and i and Pi. That one has always left me feeling dumber than dirt.
