Need recommendations for pain

(208.128.98.254)I'm scheduled to have my wisdom teeth yanked on the 18th of this month. Unfortunately, there's no way I can get a sooner appointment.
So far, in the past, they've hurt off and on a few hours at a time. Ironically since making the appointment the lower-left one has hurt 5 days straight. The pain is so severe and unrelenting I'm not sleeping. Grades are suffering and my work quality isn't as up to snuff as I expect. Not to mention, I'm becoming very... very irritable.
Thusfar, everything I've tried to relieve the pain short of taking some gas plyers and ripping it out myself hasn't worked. Anyone have any reccomendations?
