Relativity never stated, though many people have, that nothing can go faster than the speed of light in a vacuum.

What the theory states is that no information can be transfered at a greater speed.

There are many examples of things that appear to travel faster than the speed of light in a vacuum. Though I would argue that once viewed in the context of the 11 dimensions that likely constitute reality that might not be the case. That it is only our limited perspective that gives the appearance.
