Does more mass change orbits

If the moon was twice as heavy as it is, would it still follow the same path around the earth. Although the attraction between the moon and earth would be greater, gravity would have an exact equivalent difficulty in pulling in a heavier object, leaving nothing changed. Is my understanding correct in this.
