5) Alamogordo, New Mexico, USA; Hiroshima, Japan; Nagasaki, Japan; Bikini Atoll, Pacific Ocean, etc., etc., etc. Check out the records, whatever has been declassified, of the Manhattan Project. Somewhere out there is the information on how much matter actually was converted to energy. It's a shockingly small amount when you consider the destructive power unleashed. I remember doing the calculations in Physics class as an assignment once. Forgive me for not remembering the exact results, but it was over a quarter of a century ago.
