Re: Emotions (Sulpicius)

Probably chemical reactions and electric signals, but we don't know how all these work together so we don't know. The feelings created by these reactions and chemicals are to help us survive in most circumstances and drugs can alter them, proving effective when emotions overwhelm a person, who might manage to cope after some time has passed. We are still only scratching the surface in understanding feelings (emotions). They are probably closely linked up with the meaning of existence itself. It requires an emotional response to pose the question of the meaning of existence, that's how deep I think the understanding of emotions are hidden from us. As to the chemicals or reactions involved I can't help with the question.
