I started with Fortran IV. Went to COBOL until the late 80s and have been in SQL and PL/SQL since with minor amounts of Korn Shell, HTML, XML, and JavaScript when absolutely forced to do it.

I admire your willingness to tackle C++. I took one C course just to see if I would like it ... and printf "Hello World" was the last thing I liked. (grin)
