I think you're right again. Like trying to measure your position with a shifting anchor. Grasping straws. We select anchor points and start to build, then tear it down again when things change too much and sellect a new anchor point. It is in trying to find a place to anchor that we struggle with the meaning of existence. Most of the time we're building, not thinking about what you are now asking. Hope this helps, my best shot.
