Re: Yea, i got one (Mike Kremer)

Mike, I gave you a highly accurate, calibrated thermometer measuring all places and asked you for more objective sources. You give me Greenpeace and 70south!? How exactly are they more objective? That’s allright – data’s tough to come by. Still, isn't it ironic that the 70south site had this disclaimer:

YOU AGREE THAT YOUR USE OF THIS SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. BECAUSE OF THE NUMBER OF POSSIBLE SOURCES OF INFORMATION AVAILABLE THROUGH THE SERVICE, AND THE INHERENT HAZARDS AND UNCERTAINTIES OF ELECTRONIC DISTRIBUTION, THERE MAY BE DELAYS, OMISSIONS, INACCURACIES, OR OTHER PROBLEMS WITH SUCH INFORMATION. IF YOU RELY ON THIS SERVICE OR ANY MATERIAL AVAILABLE THROUGH THIS SERVICE, YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Ok, nuff of that. Which of the mirid of claims on either site would you like me to address first. You pick and I’ll respond.

Quick one...Just what has caused the sea to rise the inch or more these last few years?
Sea expansion thru heating, or Glacier melting? im only thinking of 0.1 of a degree rise for water or less.

Assuming you are speaking of rising global average (the extent of which is currently in dispute by many), I’d say the cause is probably the same thing that caused a one-degree increase in atmospheric temperature (the vast majority of which having occurred in the first half of the last century). What’s that cause? Natural variation due to many factors - with man being a negligible component – would be my opinion.
