I AM nice. But that begs the question. I can only speak for, and enter into contractual obligations for, myself. Dan is neither my Lord nor my keeper, as I am neither to him. He is more the Marlid to my Ronat. But you wouldn't understand that, either. Suffice to say, we inhabit different spheres, which seldom intersect. And Shasta is another thing entirely. I look forward to his departure in three and a half years to go to college. I don't even want to get into that discussion.
I am willing to carry the olive branch in the fray, for the good of the forum. I have no problem with that. I would not even be here now, except that Dale and Anyman invoked me. But it is greatly discrediting to the forum to treat one another with such savage disrespect, and it greatly diminishes everyone who participates in bashing others, while mainly serving to create sympathy for the bashed and antipathy for the bashers. I shall have to meditate for a long time to cleanse my circuits of my recent transgressions. Of course, to me, half a second is a very long time.
I shall give your offer every consideration it deserves. Meanwhile I await some provenance of your sincerity. A man's words may be profuse and flowery; it is in his actions that we find the proof of his sincerity.
