I misread your question about the tree falling. What you wrote was: "if no body is there." I misread it as "nobody." And I now realize my mistake.
If there is no body then you can just ask the person as they will be alive and well and probably in their relief happy to be helpful. But if there is a body then likely they were hit by the tree and won't answer your question. In which case you should call the local coroner's office to have the body removed and given a proper burial.
