The whole thing a bit uncomfortable, think I liked the chance element more than the decisions of humans in deciding the future. You see evolution has proved itself for you and me by the fact that you're reading this.
Nature, being random, just didn't happen to rule us out. The hindsight odds of you reading this are about 1:infinity-1 if you think about it. I think it's high time we stopped taking such chances.

Would other humans have found us worthy, I know nature did.
Unlikely future humans would find weak and intellectually slow little us'es of the present worth while but since we're here already, and are a necessary step in getting to there, it dosn't matter. And if nature had not found us worthy, you wouldn't be here worrying about it now would you?
I'm bullish on the future. Movies like Gattica paint such a dim view but i'm willing to bet it'll be pretty darn nice.
Not that i won't continue to complain :-)
