This is pretty cool hot stamp machine made by Franklin Imprint Machines. I did test it and it does work, it got hot and I was able to make an imprint of the last type set that was installed which was a funeral announcement from 1986! This did come from the damp basement of a local funeral home. There is some slight rust and grime and it could be cleaned up further if you were inclined to do so. I think the ribbon that is currently installed is old but I was able to get one decent test stamp out of it. I think the base may be Mahogany and it is in good shape. 12817
