Great knife
this kershaw is my favorite...ive has several others, but this one ia good ovarall size for regular carry knife. I found that the speed assist is second to no others that ive tried. And if it ever stops performing as it should, you can send it back to kershaw, little to no questions asked, for a fix/replacement. Ive even had them replace the blade before, which is technically not covered by the warranty, but they seem very generous with it.... in the 10 or so years that ive been carrying my several diff ones. Ive done various warranty replacements several times, never with any trouble.this kershaw is my favorite...ive has several others, but this one ia good ovarall size for regular carry knife. I bought this knife to replace a Kershaw that I lost. I thought I was buying the same knife, but the Scallion is the next larger size in that style knife. I was pleasantly surprised! The knife is easy to carry and always ready to use due to the built-in clip. One-handed operation is great and the blade lock provides peace of mind that you won't accidentally open the knife while in your pocket! Great sturdy knife!
I have probably 15-20 knifes. I am a farmer and use a knife for lots of different things. I carry this knife with me every day. It stays sharp and is very durable. Best all around knife I have ever had. At 69 years of age I have had many. I bought another as a spare just incase I lost or destroyed this one. I've been using the same one for at least four years now. Even though this is made in China, it is a quality knife. Every bit as good as my made in the USA Kershaws.I have probably 15-20 knifes. I have had the older model Scallions in the past. I sadly lost my older Scallion recently and replaced it with this newer model. Though the blade is just a sharp as older models, the Speedsafe assisted opening is not as strong as my older models. Still a great knife, I still have an older model stashed away, and sent in an older model with a broken tip, to Kershaw for a $10 blade replacement.
