This is pretty much proprietary equipment, you use it to replace a similar one. In my case I had a VA-8051 that went bad. The only difference was that the 8051 has feedback terminals for systems that are designed to show the position called for AND the actual position the actuator is in. Most systems don't bother with the feedback option, as it makes the system much more complicated and expensive to program. This went right in and worked perfectly. The only difference is that the "up" and "down" terminals are opposite on the 2 models, so pay attention when you re-terminate the wires. They don't go in the same order even though the terminal block and circuit board look very similar.
