    Terrific resource

Wish I’d been made aware of this book earlier. Had really helped shed light on the different phases I have or could experience with my loved one and more importantly how to react in these situations. Redirecting and language use are so important - makes dealing with this dreadful disease a bit easier. Still hard while working through it but at least I have a better understanding of what is going on and why the outburst and confusion occur.

  • Mandatory reading for memory loss

I really think this book is wonderful regarding aging and memory loss. It gives great perspective for the person with the memory loss and how to help them. I sent this book to my mom and son. It should be mandatory reading material for anyone working in a retirement home or around elderly people. Cannot wait to read the rest of the book.

  • A must read for anyone unfamiliar with memory loss

As more baby boomers age, everyone will be touched by someone with memory loss, or dementias, or Alzheimers. This book is a great place to start your learning process on how to deal with these issues.

  • Extremely helpful

I had a previous version when taking care of my mom with dementia. I gave it away. My friend is a caretaker for her sister and I bought it for her. This is an extremely helpful book. I’d recommend it highly.
