The rubber seal coming off was, as I suspected, easy to fix. The unit was in very good condition. However, the ad stated that it was tested and worked well. In my opinion, this unit was not tested because it runs on batteries and the battery holder still had bad batteries in it. They were not only leaky but they were so badly decomposed and expanded that it took several hours of chemical treatments and hammering to get the bad batteries out. After refurbishing the battery holder I found the AF gain pot needed to be replaced due to bad internal contacts (sealed pot). So its operational status was not as advertised.
