YMCA Gold-Plated 1st Place medal: Rope Climb DATED Nov. 23, 1905:

This medal seems more like art than an ordinary medal. This two-piece medal is connected by a double-chain. On the back of the top part is a pin to attach to clothing. Both parts are finely engraved and highly detailed, with numerous scrolls and angles.

The top part has Y.M.C.A. engraved with a large “B” in the middle.

The bottom part has the words “First Prize.” Along the bottom are the words “ROPE CLIMB” along with the date—Nov. 23, 1905. A large letter “B” is engraved within an inverted pyramid, surrounded by a highly detailed wreath. It’s an amazing piece that’s survived 117 years.
