Large double-pole double-throw knife switch with porcelain insulators and composition board base.
Base is 4\" x 8\", switch is 5\" high closed and 10\" at highest arc position.
The SA-13/U switch was used as a part of the AN/ART-13 Radio Transmitter Set in B-29 aircraft to changeover between fixed and trailing antennas.
The switch is date stamped as fungus resistance treated in January 1945.
The absence of marks around the mounting holes and the generally clean condition suggest that it was never installed.
