WW2 M1 Carbine \"Dogleg\" Hammer Type 1, Winchester

Rare first style hammer for the M1 Carbine. This example is marked \"W\" for Winchester and was in use only through the end of 1942, the first year of production. Part is in good shape, but needs to be cleaned as it looks like it sat in a parts bin for some time. It seems to have some hardened grease on it which should be cleaned off. It appears to have some areas where the finish is still present, other areas of contact are polished fairly clean through use. Nice \"W\" stamp on the side is clear and pretty crisp.
