WW1 letters sent from Private. Peurley(?) Camp Personnel Office, Camp Upton NY. Written on National You g Women’s Christian Association paper, Hostess House, Camp Upton, NY.
Letter dated July 29 1918 ( 2 pages) . . glad to receive your letter . . . And also hear that you have formed a committee for the purpose of writing the boys in service. . .it makes us think that we are not forgotten . .we do not have any leagues here that I know of . . Good services at the various YMCA’s .. I am working in the night shift at Stenographer work there are 18 of us on the shift we start to work at 7 pm and stop at 7 am. . . . .the dust here to-day is something terrible we keep our windows closed to keep from eating dirt. . .
