There is no wiring attached to the back but a mic is attached to the front of the remote head. Sadly - I have no experience with this type of electronics so I don\'t have a means of testing - sorry!!! Item is being sold as-is for parts or repair only with no returns. I purchased this from a local township sale and was told all equipment was removed in working order so hopefully it works perfect for its new buyer.
