Advertising 1957 Vintage Schlitz Beer Table Lamp This is an awesome, and clever marketing device for a classic, famous beer! From " Jos Schlitz Brewing Company, Milwaukee Wisconsin, " the original owner/ maker of Schlitz Beer, this is a 1957 table lamp which has been styled to have the appearance of a miniature lantern style streetlight set upon a brass pole! On the glass panels which comprise the body of the piece, it features the infamous "Schlitz" white on red logo, in the foreground of a "Swiss Alps" background with a Alphornist playing a labrophone ( One of those long cylindrical, ground trumpets being played by a man in stockings.) The verbiage beneath the scene, reads, " Move up to Schlitz" One more set of verbiage is painted on the base, which reads, " Move up to Quality". The small print on the bottom lists the aforementioned maker, date, and various brewery locations. There is a switch beneath the base of the lantern to turn on/off. In excellent condition, without any chips, or cracks! One of the glass panels has some small amount of cracking on the painted graphics on the glass. Measures: 13" tall x 8" wide. Please look at all picture for determining the overall condition. Great addition to your Schlitz collection, bar or mancave area.
