Up for sale is a Spode classic design, a vintage beehive honey serving jar with lid. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or sign of use. The Spode mark is on the underside and a code reading \'R1142\'is incised into the clay . The beehive is modeled to look as though it is made like a grass basket. The base of the beehive is attached to an underplate which also looks like a grass basket except for a tab handle. The basket continues to wind to the top of the beehive where it is crowned with a finial of gathered flowers. Leaves and bees gathered at the finial\'s base.
It measures about six inches across from the tab handle to the opposite side, 5 1/4 inches across without the handle included. It is about 4 inches tall.
