Vintage Original Photo Album from the 1930s - Approximately 105 Photos
The photos are mostly from the Southern California area. The original owner took the time to write brief captions on pages, sometimes noting the people and places in the photos, as well as when it was taken.
Inside the front cover is a Graduation Program for Eleanor J. Toll Junior High School in Glendale dated June 14, 1935. On the first page, there is a small invitation to that graduation.
As for the captions of the photos, here are some examples: Graduation Dress, Southern California, NY Flood 1933, Glendale Union High School, 631 E. Elk Avenue, Glendale, Oxnard, Oil Wells - Ventura, Rose Parade, Santa Barbara\'s Float, Battleships, and more. There are a few photos of automobiles and planes. Most photos are family and friends. Some animal photos.
Near the back of the book, there are stamps affixed to three of the album pages. On the last page, and inside the back cover, there are two patches glued down. These might be from Glendale High School.
Photos range from as small as 3/4\" x 1 1/8\" to 3 3/8\" x 5\".
I counted approximately 50 stamps. Some stamps have been removed, and there is tearing to the page surface.
Years range from around 1930 to 1938, give or take.
The album is in vintage condition with discoloration, creasing, tearing and other wear from age and storage. There may be edge chipping.
There is a strong old storage-type scent to this album. I don\'t know if it can be aired out.
