This sale is for a vintageDietz Vesta Railroad Lantern. It is marked New York U.S.A. Dietz Vesta on the cap and the initials N.Y.N.H.&H. (New York, New Haven, Hartford) on the rim. A little surface rust but nothing major. The lid has a slight dent. However, the knob release that lifts the lid has broken off but it still works.

The globe is in excellent condition with very slight chips on the upper and lower rims, no major cracks. The globe fits great into the lantern. The clear glass globe is marked DIETZ in a circle and under that is the word VESTA and under that is NEW YORK U.S.A.On the back of the clear glass globe there is an NX in a half circle.The globe is 4 1/4 inches tall. All in all it is a nice lantern. The globe measures 2 1/4 inches on top and the bottom measures 2 3/4. The lantern is 15 inches tall with handle up and 8 inches wide at the widest point.

Thisnice lantern has been stored in the attic for years. Just found it when cleaning things out and now offering it for your train room or man cave. It would be a nice addition.
