Hi! I have an Unusual Antique Store Find - it\'s a Diatom Test Plate 40 Sp No. M-1, Rectangular Glass Plate in a Small Case.
It\'s about 3\" long x 1\" wide.
It has an old paper label on the glass that reads Diatom Test Plate 40 Sp No. M-1 Ward\'s Nat. Sci. Estab.
It also has a round red yellow target type spot in the center of the glass.
The Worn Leather Case is Padded on the inside - Purple Velvet Top and White Satiny Bottom.
It has a little metal latch and hinges.
I\'m not sure what the original purpose was.
