Very dramatic Samurai warrior in ceremonial outfit. Beautiful and unique collector's item from 1960's Japan. The doll is in flawless condition, including its painted silk face with amazing detail. The sword and the "komainu" (legendary lion-dog protector) at his feet have been added for special effect and are not original. The komainu is a heavy cast iron piece and is not attached to the simple wood base.Height: 16" tall
