ITEM: Vintage World War Two era photo album belonging to HENRY O. FORREST Jr. with over 200 black and white photos from the University of Kentucky at Lexington.

He did not identify himself in the photos, so I posted a picture I found online when he was 15 in high school in Teaneck, New Jersey. His father was HENRY O. FORREST SR and his mother was ANNE E. FORREST. He was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on August 7, 1924.

He attended the Officer Training course at the University of Kentucky, and these photos document his busy life there. He must have really enjoyed his time at school because he documented everything from all the campus buildings to the dance events, the bands that came to play, and the drill practices. There are also lots of casual photos of the ladies on campus and in their dorm room.

After the war, he remained single and by 1950, he had returned to New Jersey and lived at 1235 Hennington Road in Teaneck, NJ.

Henry died in 2010 and is buried at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was given the rank of PFC in WWII.
