This is an original, signed autobiographical book by American biomedical researcher, Robert Gallo (born 1937).

Gallo is the director and co-founder of the Institute of Human Virology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. He is best known for discovering human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) as the infectious agent responsible for AIDS, and he has been a major contributor to HIV research.

The book was inscribed and autographed by Gallo in 9/05. It is hand-signed in ink by Robert Gallo on the Title Page (see pic above). I purchased this book from a collection of books in Maryland, near where Gallo works.
