This large sizeinsignia was introduced at the 12 July 2001 change of command ceremony. This is ident No. SFG-293 in the EliteCollector’s Guide “U.S. Special Forces Group Insignia, Post 1975”, and‘C&D ident #123-45 and on page No. 198 of Perkowski’s new “U.S.Army Special Forces Team History and Insignia, 1975 to Present”
