This is a genuine USMC surplus Therm-A-Rest sleeping pad, also known as the Improved Sleeping Mat (ISM) by the Marine Corps. Designed for easy folding into a compact form, it allows Marines to carry and store it efficiently. Its durable accordion-style fold provides enhanced comfort without adding extra weight. Made in the USA.

Constructed from closed-cell crosslinked polyethylene foam, the mat features pre-formed, full-width folds. When flat, it measures 72" x 23" and can be folded into a compact 5" x 5 1/4" x 23" rectangle, reducing its packed volume by 20%. Secured with two attached elastic loops, the mat is quick to pack and easy to stow. Despite its compact size, it retains its insulation, padding, and durability. Weighs approximately 1.3 lbs.

These USMC-issued sleeping pads are in excellent used condition - they are previously used and may show slight signs of wear, such as dirt, scuffs, or small gouges in the foam. However, both elastic cords remain intact, and the sleeping pad is fully functional and ready for use.
