Overview: The Three Season Sleep System (“3S”) includes a sleeping bag (regular size about 5ft 11 in) (long over 6 ft) both sleeping bags can fit in the bivy, and the Improved Bivy Cover (IBC), at a total weight of 4.8 lbs. The Bivy Cover allows the Marine to be totally encapsulated under extreme weather conditions 10° below freezing and above; (when used with a ground insulator pad and proper clothing, intermittent use down to 5°F is achievable). This sleeping bag has an antimicrobial inner liner that helps to protect against the growth of micro-organisms.
