Forsale is an impact fragment of a meteorite strike (also known as Tektite).A tektite is a rare natural glass formed when an asteroid strikes theearth. These fragments are indochinitesand were formed as a byproduct of a meteorite impact and subsequently cooled toform the distinctive glass-like structure. Indochinite tektites, as the nameimplies, are found in the Indochinese peninsula, from Australia and the Pacificislands of Micronesia in the east and south, to China and Indonesia in thenorth and west.

· The fragments measureabout 2 inches long (5cm) long andmay differ slightly from what is pictured in the photos (i.e. most of these areroundish/ovalish in shape).

· The fragments weigh approximately40 to 45 grams a piece on average.

· The composition of these fragments is mostly impactglass and some other compounds including iron, quartz, zircon, rutile,chromite, and monazite.
